UPMC Magee-Womens Research Institute is seeking a Full Time Research Associate – Basic Science to support the Ovarian Function department!
Brieño-Enríquez Lab research has lain in the regulation of gametogenesis, including germ cells and early embryonic development. We are extending our research program to reproductive aging. During the last 4 years, we developed the naked mole-rat (NMR) as a model in reproductive aging. Using NMR, we are testing the hypothesis that gene expression, epigenetic clock, and chromatin structure in NMRs can be hijacked in other species allowing us to regulate the ovarian reserve, oocyte quality, and reproductive longevity.
