UPMC complies with all governmental requirements related to local, state, and federal COVID-19 vaccination for employment. Description

Are you an LPN looking for a better work-life balance? UPMC's Heartland Family Health is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for their office in Lititz, PA. This office has a wonderful team-oriented culture, working together when needed to achieve the best patient care possible. The LPN will provide professional nursing care to office patients under supervision of patient care providers.

HOURS: Mondays 9:30am-6pm, Tuesdays- Fridays 8:30am-5pm. NO WEEKENDS. NO HOLIDAYS. NO ON-CALL.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess patient's general condition, take vital signs and weight, review medical history and chief complaint or reason for visit
  • Assist physicians with examinations, diagnostic procedures, and treatments
  • Give injections/vaccines 
  • Phone triage, obtain prescription orders from physician, complete refill requests
  • Complete forms as requested by patient/families i.e. school/sports physical forms
  • Promote wellness by providing patient education materials, communicating physician advice/instructions.
  • Document all activities/interventions, patient/family responses, medication dispensed/prescribed, etc., in the medical record.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality related to medical records and other data.
  • Draw blood
  • Comply with requirements of appropriate regulatory agencies (i.e. OSHA, CLIA, PA Department of Health)
  • Comply with all policies and procedures.
  • Administer medications as needed including oral, SQ, IM and IV drip.
  • Perform IV therapy under direction of Registered Nurse

 

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an approved LPN school of nursing.
  • 1-year clinical experience preferred, but not required
  • Open to New Graduates

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
  • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
