Description
This entry level position is designed to train individuals to perform a variety of patient care. Associates will be trained on interpersonal and technical skills. This position will learn to work chair-side as the dentist examines and treat patients. This position will be trained to assist patients in being as comfortable as possible in the dental chair, preparing patients for treatment, obtaining, and updating their medical records, taking vital signs, and giving post-operative instructions.
This role will work the daylight shift that is 7:30 a.m.-4:00 p.m.
Responsibilities:
- Call patients and confirm appointments
- Pull and file charts for daily operations
- Cover front desk
- Seat patients in operatories
- Set up trays for restorative and surgical procedures
- Learn how to hand instruments and materials to dentist for a variety of procedures.
- Perform blood pressures, making referrals when necessary
- Dailey maintenance of dental equipment such as x-ray machine, hand pieces, developers, central suction, eyewash stations etc. As specified in the OSHA and Infection Control Manuals, documenting work records as required? Manage expirations on all supplies
- Order supplies
- Stock all operatories
- Clean operatories between patient use and according to hospital protocol for infectious diseases
- Prepare instruments /handpieces for sterilization
- Meets all standards of performance and adhere to all applicable policies, procedures, and regulations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Dental Radiology Certificate preferred. Department will assist in obtaining when eligible.
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:

- CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire.
