UPMC complies with all governmental requirements related to local, state, and federal COVID-19 vaccination for employment. Description

UPMC Health Plan has an exciting opportunity for a Summer Intern in the Consumer innovation department.  This internship will be Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and will be a hybrid position consisting of working from home and in office. Undergraduate students are preferred.  This internship will be an hourly rate of $17.00.

The Health Plan summer intern will report to the Senior Product Manager in the Insurance Services Division. Responsibilities will include participation on teams involving product management, digital transformation, and strategy. Key projects include using data and business value to develop a digital feature strategy for our products, learning agile methodologies, creating basic wireframes for prototypes, assisting with marketing reviews, managing our app store assets, and presenting to stakeholders. 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Willingness to learn and understand product management frameworks
  • Familiarity with human-centered design approach and agile methodologies
  • Ability to collaborate with UX teams, business partners, and other stakeholders in the organization
  • Ability to use data to create product hypotheses
  • Embrace a growth mindset, always looking for opportunities to learn and improve
  • Complete function specific tasks and assignments.
  • Represent UPMC internally and externally.
  • Participate in service and social activities.

 

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma Strongly Preferred.
