The Western Peer Support program is growing and there are many opportunities for unique projects and opportunities. This candidate will oversee the newest project that deals with managing peers in the community at other organizations. This candidate will supervise up to 7 FTE staff. This team is very growth and innovation-oriented.
The Program Supervisor is responsible for the administrative and clinical leadership and direction of the program. This includes the conceptualization, organization, and implementation of the program. Responsible for coordinating the overall direction of the assigned program in collaboration with all other supervisors.
The ideal hire for this position should have strong interpersonal and networking skills. Knowledge of and/or experience in peer support is preferred. Ability to work with diverse staff and clients. Candidate must be able to work independently and take initiative. The candidate will need to be able to train and coach new hires through the Peer Certification process.
This is a Monday through Friday daylight position, split between two locations- the Oxford Building in Oakland, and Western Behavioral Health at Mon Yough, located in McKeesport. The dress code is business casual, and the schedule for this position has flexible hours with the potential for hybrid working options.
Responsibilities:
- Conducts and/or assists with hiring, promotions, and disciplinary action for program staff.
- Conduct interviews with candidates and review potential employees with a Human Resources representative.
- Defines annual strategic goals, which coincide with the mission of the service line.
- Demonstrates compliance with Program and Institute policies and procedures. Develops outcome procedures demonstrating program effectiveness.
- Conducts individual evaluations of staff performance within the set time period.
- Oversee, direct, and coordinate all day-to-day functions of the program. Manage both clinical and administrative issues related to service delivery with other Program staff.
- Manage programmatic issues related to all services. Monitor and manage all cases that are either entering or are currently in services.
- Supervise training and orientation to all new staff and ongoing training to current employees as per Regulations.
- Conducts an evaluation of program goals from previous year, identifying accomplishments and areas of need to be used in strategic planning for the next fiscal year.
- Provide clinical/administrative supervision to other program staff as needed on a weekly basis.
- Manage and oversee the flow of clinical paperwork related to service delivery.
- Provides or coordinates effective group training and individual supervision for all program staff.
- Participate in meetings and outside agency meetings as deemed necessary by supervisor.
- Monitor program productivity on a regular basis.
- Work directly with the Department of Human Resources (HR) to screen candidates for positions within the program.
- Work collaboratively with Manager/Director to develop and expand the program to meet the needs of the target population as it corresponds to the overall vision of MYCS
- Develops, monitors, and maintains the Program within the proposed budget
Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in a human services field WITH a minimum of 3 years experience in a behavioral health setting.
- At least two years of supervisory experience preferred.
- Clinical experience in a behavioral health setting with knowledge of psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, family, individual, and group treatment.
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
- Comprehensive Crisis Management (CCMC)
- Driver's License
- Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting with renewal
- Act 33 with renewal
- Act 34 with renewal
- Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal
