UPMC complies with all governmental requirements related to local, state, and federal COVID-19 vaccination for employment. The Jan. 13 Supreme Court of the United States decision that the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services federal COVID-19 vaccine mandate will move forward requires UPMC to ensure employees either get vaccinated or receive a requested medical or religious exemption.

Description

Pinnacle Health Medical Services seeks a Palliative Care Physician to provide care to patients in ambulatory and inpatient settings.

Job Responsibilities: 

 

Responsible for providing care to patients with end of life needs or to patients living with serious illnesses, in the ambulatory and inpatient setting; will focus on providing relief from the symptoms and stress of illness; actively identify opportunities to improve the patient and family care experience; improve the effectiveness of resources as used in management of symptoms, complex chronic medical and social issues.

Qualifications

  • M.D. or degree equivalent;
  • Must have completed a residency in Family or Internal Medicine;
  • Must have completed a fellowship in Hospice and Palliative Care;
  • Must be Board certified or eligible for certification in Palliative Care;
  • Must have a valid PA medical license
