Description
We are looking for Process Improvement Engineering Co-op who will work with our Ambulatory Services team to:
- Analyze and summarize data into clear and concise reports to drive decision-making
- Support process improvement projects to improve patient experience, access to care, wait times, financial performance, etc.
- Use lean six sigma principles to identify potential improvements and propose new projects
- Build process maps, workflows, and standardized documents to record and visualize the processes step by step.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and review data sources/reports to ensure data integrity
- Total of 12 months of employment must be completed.
- Different schools have different rotation periods to match up with academic calendars. The most common options are both acceptable:
- Three rotations, each rotation is 4 months long and goes from January-April, May-August, September-December inclusive
- Two rotations, each rotation is 6 months long, and goes from January-June, July-December inclusive.
- The schedule for this role is as follows:
- Three rotations of 4 months each
- Work 40 hours per week during rotation
- Remote work possible (~20% of time max)
- Rate of pay is $17.00/hour
Qualifications

- Required
- Pursuing bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering or similar
- Strong interpersonal skills required
- Strong communication and presentation skills required
- Data analysis skills required
- Microsoft Office (especially Excel) required
- Preferred
- Project Management skills preferred
- Knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma preferred
- Plus
- Six Sigma certification (yellow or green belt) a plus
- Required
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
- Act 31 Clearance with renewal
- Act 33 Clearance with renewal
- Act 34 Clearance with renewal
- Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal
