UPMC Chautauqua is looking for a Full-Time Equipment Aide to work in our Central Sterile Supply department to help monitor supplies and equipment and facilitate maintenance in assigned area. This is a full-time role with a rotating weekend shift schedule from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. UPMC offers various opportunities for personal skill-building, professional development, and continued education. Responsibilities:
- Responsible for accurate record keeping and quality checks of equipment.
- Identify needed repairs, maintenance, and cleaning of unit specific equipment/environment according to procedures. Enter online requests for repairs to facilities and keep accurate records of maintenance performed.
- Assist with assigned quality monitoring including, but not limited to, maintaining refrigerator and temperature logs and point of care testing. Notify appropriate personnel when respective quality indicators are out of normal range.
- Order unit specific supplies/equipment and ensures that adequate amounts are available on the unit.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED or one year previous job experience required in lieu of High School Diploma/GED.
- Requires the ability to follow written and verbal instructions in order to successfully complete Equipment Aid duties and the ability to use Equipment Aid equipment.
- Prior job experience preferred.
