UPMC Health Plan is hiring a full-time Program Manager to support the Medicaid Medical Management department. The team is based out of downtown Pittsburgh's US Steel Tower. This role will work remotely to start but may eventually transition to a hybrid structure.
The Program Manager will develop, implement, manage, and evaluate initiatives and educational materials for programs benefiting UPMC members, with a particular focus on clinical-community collaboratives for UPMC for You members. Responsibilities will include strategic planning, senior-level presentations, client meetings with upper management, project planning and management, account management, coordination with many internal departments and external facilities, evaluating and reporting. The Program Manager will support the Program Director for Clinical-Community Programs and be recognized in a lead role by other staff and departments within the Health Plan.
Responsibilities:
- Lead both new and existing clinical-community programs focused on improving member outcomes, with a focus on clinical outcomes, health equity, and social determinants of health.
- Coordinate related activities of other UPMCHP departments as necessary to ensure that all aspects of each program are successful and that all impacted departments are aware of progress/updates.
- Work with various internal and external stakeholders to provide relevant deliverables. This may include developing and negotiating contracts as needed with UPMCHP legal department, working with UPMCHP privacy and data governance, collaborating on analysis with UPMCHP data analytics groups, and others.
- Implement programs for maximum results and member satisfaction.
- Manage various programs, campaigns, and events related to area of program expertise.
- Meet project plan deadlines.
- Summarize and interpret program results.
- As relevant, collaborate with relevant staff to aid in project implementation.
- Design and develop new project plans for new programs/events as needed, including all policies and procedures, program outlines, contracts as needed with participating facilities, evaluation and data capture plans, and all marketing materials.
Qualifications
- Masters degree in health administration or related health field preferred; or Bachelors degree with demonstrated successful experience in clinical program administration and/or other health related discipline.
- A minimum of five to seven years of applicable experience in health care delivery is required.
- Experience with community-based organizations preferred.
- Program evaluation experience preferred.
- Analytical experience preferred.
- 3 years in health care insurance preferred.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office, Word and Excel.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
- Candidate must demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills. Must be able to interact and negotiate with all facets of the wellness industry.
- Excellent planning, documentation, organizational, analytical and problem solving skills are also required.
- Candidate must demonstrate leadership and project management skills.
- Ability to map re-engineering processes to positively impact productivity in terms of timeliness and accuracy.
- Ability to work with and take direction from Senior Management.
- Desire to continue upward progression within organization.
