The YETI Lab (www.yetilab.pitt.edu), under the supervision of Dr. Leslie Horton, is seeking a Research Specialist to assist with the ProNET Study, an NIMH-funded multisite (U01) study of 26 in international research sites examining comprehensive biomarkers in a large number of young people at risk for psychosis, including fMRI, EEG, fluid biomarkers, clinical and cognitive assessments, and daily life assessments.

Purpose:
Independently execute job functions for research protocol(s) for the ProNET study, an NIMH-funded, multi-site study examining comprehensive biomarkers in young people at risk for psychosis. Collect and gather research data via study visits and research procedures (e.g., fMRI, EEG, blood and cortisol data collection, clinical and cognitive assessments, and daily life assessments) with adolescents and young adults.
Responsibilities:
- Independently execute job functions for research protocol(s) including recruitment, scheduling appointments, obtaining written consent forms, collecting data by conducting phone or face to face interviews for research project(s).
- Collaborate with senior research personnel regarding recruitment, data collection, outcomes of interviews, reports according to the needs of the study.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Psychology, Neuroscience, Sociology or related research field.
- Minimum of one year of work experience in a research project and/or related clinical setting is required.
- Familiarity with computers and common software packages required.
- Working knowledge of research methodology strongly preferred.
- Clinical or other work/ volunteer experience with adolescents and/or young adults strongly preferred.
- Previous experience with EEG, fMRI, phlebotomy, and/or mental health assessment is preferred.
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
- Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting with renewal
- Act 33 with renewal
- Act 34 with renewal
- Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal
