Description

UPMC is hiring a part-time Communication Facilitator to join their ENT Department! This position will provide communication support to residents living in Senior Living Communities. This position will work Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, daylight hours with no evenings, weekends or holidays. Travel for this position will be required to multiple senior living communities in the Greater Pittsburgh Area, but travel reimbursement is available. 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Provides direct resident care with regards to communication. i.e. daily management and maintenance of hearing aids and personal listening devices, etc
  • Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing.
  • Will act in a professional and respectful manner with facility staff, residents, and their families.
  • The Communication Facilitator will integrate with facility staff including but not limited to the administrator and activities staff and will also interact and communicate with the HearCARE audiologist. Must have interest in working closely with geriatric population and family members
  • Suggest, design and implement facility-wide solutions for better communication among residents and staff, in consultation with audiologist
  • Log and document time and activities completed with at work and as directed for quality improvement project

 

Qualifications

HS Diploma required

Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree preferred

No specific experience required
