Family Hospice of UPMC is seeking caring, skilled, and compassionate registered nurses (RNs) to join our team.
As a nurse for the dedicated team, you will work primary Monday - Friday daylight shifts for Pittsburgh, Monroeville, Butler, Beaver, Washington, and surrounding counties. There will be rotations for on-call, holiday, and weekend coverage. The team will work with you in the best location for your next job with UPMC Hospice.

Final title and pay will be determined by education, experience, and certifications.
Responsibilities:
- Your role as the nurse will establish patients’ plans of care in collaboration with physicians, patients, and utilization management (UM) professionals to meet physicians’ orders and patients’ needs.
- RN will coordinate case management activities across a multi-disciplinary health care team to ensure appropriate, quality patient care.
- Initiate, deliver, and evaluate patient- and family-centered health support to the patients and caregivers
- Registered Nurse will be part of the team to provide care for the patients.
- Complete all required documentation including visit assessments and verbal orders accurately and promptly on a laptop or in written documentation while in the patient's home and according to all applicable regulatory standards.
- Attend compliance training and adhere to the organization’s standards of conduct, policies, and procedures in addition to all local, state, and federal regulatory guidelines.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
- CHPN certification preferred.
- Nursing experience in an Acute Care Facility or Skilled Care Facility Successful completion of Hospice orientation preferred
- The individual must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care and/or interact appropriately to the ages of the patients served by his/her assigned unit as specified below. They must also demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs and to provide the care needs as described in the department policy and procedures.

- Automotive Insurance
- Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
- Driver's License
- Registered Nurse (RN) OR Temporary Practice Permit (TPP)
- Act 33
