HVAC Journeyman
Fulltime 40 hours 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Dayshift with rotational trades on call varying shifts, weekends and holidays

Purpose:
Responsible for proper operation and maintenance of building environmental systems
Responsibilities:
- May be required to be on call.
- Responsible for the completion of all service work order assignments in a timely fashion.
- Could be scheduled for off shifts and rotation as needed.
- Must be available for snow removal as needed.
- Complies with all safety codes whether Federal, State, or local; maintains a safe work environment.
- Complies with established occupational exposure policies.
- Maintains good relations with other members of the crew, other crews, and all other departments so that work is performed in a harmonious manner.
- Is expected to perform any and all other duties related to facility maintenance as deemed necessary by Management that is in the best interest of the hospital, its patients, staff, and visitors.
- Responsible for proper operation and maintenance of systems related to building environmental system, such as, but not limited to: air handlers, chillers, heating equipment, building automation systems (BAS), medical vacuum pumps, medical air pumps and associated equipment, split system cooling equipment, ice machines and refrigerators, pneumatic tube system repairs and maintenance.
Qualifications
Education and Formal Training Required:
High school graduate or equivalent, preferably a graduate from a vocational-technical school; and must have 5 years acceptable HVAC experience in the building maintenance field or construction.
Candidate must also have basic math skills and ability to calculate and convert weights, volume, etc. required.
Has working knowledge of refrigeration systems to include direct expansion air handlers, ice machines, walk-in coolers, freezers, etc.
Must have overall good mechanical skills and the ability to think on your own to repair a wide variety of equipment related building systems.
Knowledge of DDC control systems is helpful.
EPA Universal Refrigerant License is required.
Valid PA driver's license required
