Description
The Document Process Specialist 1 ensures the accuracy of electronically transmitted data to advance to the next step in the digital process flow. This includes data entry and/or core data validation via research into multiple core systems, as well as researching and creating electronic document tracking for the electronic distribution of correspondence requiring robust research.
Responsibilities:
- Verify and correct, as necessary, claims and documents received through the Formworks process to include but not limited to individual characters and fields in OCR Repair and OCR RepCrit, and information contained in KE (Key Entry).
- Verify electronically received at pre-adjudication.
- Investigate via Filenet software or EDI (Electronic Data interchange) Inquiry Screen (s) any flagged claims.
- Successfully complete training and data enter forms/claims into the various system applications or repositories.
- Accurate and timely research of complex documents to determine responsible department.
- Create an electronic document tracking distribution to the appropriate owner.
- Notify the supervisor and/or team leader of any issues that may compromise client satisfaction.
- Performs Intake Processor Specialist 1 & 2 tasks as needed.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Must be proficient with data entry using QWERTY keyword.
- Two years computer experience.
- One year of claims knowledge of ICD10, CPT, HCPC codes, billing or claim insurance forms strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of Medical Terminology is a plus. Ability to learn multiple
- Systems and Repository navigation for research and data validation.
- Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced production environment and contribute to a positive work culture with high levels of repetitive tasks requiring focus and attention to detail.
