UPMC complies with all governmental requirements related to local, state, and federal COVID-19 vaccination for employment. The Jan. 13 Supreme Court of the United States decision that the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services federal COVID-19 vaccine mandate will move forward requires UPMC to ensure employees either get vaccinated or receive a requested medical or religious exemption.

Enrollment Specialist – UPMC Schools of Nursing

Description

UPMC Shadyside is hiring a Full-Time Enrollment Specialist to support the UPMC Shadyside School of Nursing! 

The Enrollment Specialist is an in-office position that provides financial aid administration and customer support to Shadyside SON. This position works Monday-Friday from 8am-4:30pm with occasional evening/weekend availability.

Final candidates will be selected for a job title within the career ladder that reflects the level of education, experience, and manager discretion at the time of offer. 

About the Position:

Administers the student financial aid program at the UPMC Shadyside School of Nursing. Provides financial aid and assistance to eligible students and maintains financial aid records.

Responsibilities:

 

  • Performs in accordance with system-wide competencies/behaviors.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Assists current and graduating students with payment plans

  • Assists with the recruitment activities for the schools through attendance of Information sessions or answering individual questions from potential students

  • Completes special projects and assignments as directed.

  • Contacts current and incoming students about Financial Aid missing/incomplete documents, follow-ups with students as needed

  • First point of contact for current and incoming students with questions pertaining to financial aid

  • Responsible for paperwork creation related to the origination and disbursement of financial aid for all current students who request Financial Aid

  • Maintains financial aid records on paper and within the CampusVue Student Information System

Qualifications

  • A High School Degree or related is required.

  • Post-secondary Education administration experience is required.

  • Knowledge of computers and the ability to assist others with computer use is required.

  • Experience in hospital/school finance and budgets are preferred.

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:

  • Act 33 with renewal

  • Act 34 with renewal

  • Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal
