UPMC Mercy is looking for a highly motivated individual to support the UPMC Mercy School of Nursing!
This is an in-office position that provides financial aid administration and customer support to Mercy SON. This position works Monday-Friday from 8am-4:30pm with occasional evening/weekend availability.
Individual will be placed into appropriate title/salary based on education and experience. Titles, responsibilities and pay ranges are listed below.
Enrollment Specialist SON:
- Pay Range: $19.34/ hour - $32.16/hour
- Responsibilities: Assists current and graduating students with payment plans Assists with the recruitment activities for the schools through attendance of Information sessions or answer individual questions from potential students Completes special projects and assignments as directed. Contacts current and incoming students about Financial Aid missing/incomplete documents, follow-ups with students as needed First point of contact for current and incoming students with questions pertaining to financial aid Responsible for paperwork creation related to the origination and disbursement of financial aid for all current students who request Financial Aid. Starts and maintains financial aid records on paper and within the CampusVue Student Information System
Financial Aid Coordinator SON:
- Pay Range: $27.38/hour - $47.40/hour
- Responsibilities: Administers the financial aid program for the school and complies with federal and state regulations. Implements school policies and promotes attainment of school goals. Assists graduating students with payment plans Assists with the administration of the admission process and recruitment activities for the schools. Completes special projects and assignments as directed. Interacts and communicates effectively with students. Works cooperatively and productively with applicants, students, faculty, staff and others. Maintains financial aid records. Maintains knowledge regarding financial aid options. Provides financial aid and assistance to eligible students. Provides guidance regarding financial aid options.
Qualifications
Enrollment Specialist SON:
- High School Degree or related is required.
- Post-secondary Education administration experience is required.
- Knowledge of computers and ability to assist others with computer use is required.
Financial Aid Coordinator SON:
- Bachelor's degree is required.
- 3 years of experience in hospital/school finance and budgets are required.
- Student admissions and financial aid administration experience is required.
- Knowledge of computers and ability to assist others with computer use is required.
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
- Act 33 with renewal
- Act 34 with renewal
- Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal
