Regional Business Development Manager for North Central and Northwestern PA
UPMC is hiring a full-time Regional Business Development Manager working Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. You will lead the development of business partnerships generating hospice and home health referral growth. Accountable for the development of an annual regional growth plan, execution of sales activities, and achievement of the organization’s admissions goals.
This position works from home remotely and in the community. There is a high degree of independence for someone who doesn’t like being tied to an office but is willing to work a combination of from home and in the field.
- Will oversee business development activities for the home health and hospice service lines in the north central and northwestern PA markets. Travel to various locations will be required.
- Previous supervisory experience preferred.
- Ability to use substantial judgment and analytic ability to carry out instructions, solve problems, and organize information for reports. Must be proficient in data analytics, the use of technology for communications, presentations, and spreadsheet applications. Strong interpersonal skills in communicating with employees, supervisors, managers, patients and family members, and health and community resources. Is self-directed and possesses the ability to work with little supervision.
- Milage will be paid based upon Federal rates
Responsibilities:
- Works with the Vice President to set admissions goals and objectives, and monitors outcomes for business development team members.
- Uses market data to design sales strategies for assigned territory and unique referral sources.
- Dedicates most of work time on key account management, making sales calls with business development team members, and the ongoing coaching and mentoring of staff for professional development.
- Supervises the business development team, including but not limited to performance evaluations, timesheets, interviewing potential staff, and obtaining required personnel documents.
- Takes initiative to develop and maintain relationships with clinical leadership in the assigned region. Understands that teamwork is a crucial part of our business, and can work well with colleagues, no matter the circumstances. Using individual skills, cooperates with others, and accepts and provides constructive feedback despite any personal conflicts between individuals involved.
- Works closely with clinical leadership to drive a vision of growth by focusing every team member on the needs and expectations of the referral community.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in marketing or related field required.
- Three (3) years of experience in business development, marketing, or related field required.
