Job Summary:

Do you have a background in medical billing or coding? If so, we have the job for you! WCA Services is hiring a Patient Representative to maintain billing accounts and perform related job duties based on department needs. The position will work Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. 

  • Data enter all clean claims from receipt of the billing information. Includes demographics, insurance information and charges.
  • Edits and updates accounts according to state and federal regulations for proper submission.
  • Effectively maintains and submits all workers' compensation claims to appropriate payors.
  • Electronically submits private pay statements to the mailing vendor and collection accounts.
  • Follows up on all denials and determines the necessary action to take.
  • Responsible for communicating to the team lead any errors or potential inaccuracies that could cause inappropriate processing of an account.
  • Sorts all interoffice mail and works return mail; as well as check patients' payments against billing software to assure accuracy when making the deposit and posting payments.
  • Submits all billing to the appropriate payor.
  • Works aging reports and determines necessary action to take.


  • A working knowledge of medical billing and related payors desired. 
  • Prior coding experience is preferred. 
  • Basic keyboarding, word-processing,
spreadsheets, e-mail, and internet skills are necessary.
