This is a regular full-time position which will work out of the Sheraton Drive office, Monday - Friday, 8 AM- 4 PM. 

  • Apply critical thinking to analyze the necessity and legitimacy of the order.
  • Assess orders through Health Information Exchange (HIE).
  • Demonstrate support of the Agency's Mission, Principles, and Values, Ethics, & Standards of Behavior
  • Educate and require adherence to performance improvement processes and initiatives
  • Expand knowledge and expertise through educational resources and literature review
  • Maintain and protect customer and Agency confidentiality
  • Maintain personal productivity by demonstrating satisfactory attendance and punctuality
  • Monitor Return to Clinic Date reports and alert appropriate clinical staff member when date is considered to be an alert. Monitor routine trended reporting on physician orders process.
  • Perform general office duties including typing, filing, photocopying, faxing, word processing, data entry, and recording minutes as required within the office.
  • Promote personal and co-worker safety during work duties
  • Represent and participate in Agency professional and community activities as requested.
  • Responsible for exceeding customer satisfaction both internally and externally through both verbal and written communication Utilize scripting with any telephone calls initiated to the patient
  • Responsible for review and processing of physician orders ensuring that all necessary components are present.
  • Responsible to ensure timely processing of printed Physician Orders and documents to include distribution, entry, computerized orders tracking and electronically filing in EDM. Responsible for auditing and tracking of unprocessed physician orders and documents. Responsible for timely follow-up for outstanding unsigned physician orders. Ensure US Postal Service and courier mail is received, collected, sorted, and distributed on a daily basis following Agency procedure. Process all FAX communications with accuracy and in a timely manner following established Agency procedure.
  • Responsible to prepare and submit reports related to areas of responsibility. Make recommendations to supervisor regarding changes in processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy


Education: High School education required. Associate Degree or LPN required. Experience: Minimum of two years related work experience. Computerization Skills: Proven competency in EXCEL, Microsoft Office. Demonstrated ability to perform computer skills in specialized computer application(s) as needed. Special Requirements: Demonstrates high level critical thinking skills. Related course work in medical terminology or demonstrates a strong working knowledge of medical terminology. Travel: Position requires travel to various office sites, valid PA drivers license and proof of auto liability required.
