Provides courier services between hospital campuses, physician offices, clinics, etc. Responsible for transporting specimens, supplies, reports, etc. to designated locations.


  • Accurately delivers mail to assigned locations.
  • Accurately delivers supplies to various physician offices and between the campuses.
  • Adheres to standard precautions when handling blood and body fluids.
  • Assist with courier requests form other departments.
  • Is courteous in greeting patients who require lab services.
  • Operate ARHS vehicles with respect.
  • Stores and transports specimens at the appropriate temperature
  • Takes requests and fills supply orders requested by physicians' offices and nursing homes.
  • Transports samples in the appropriate device


High school graduate; must have a valid drivers license. Knowledgeable of the laboratory transport practices. Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills with patients, physicians, and hospital employees. Communicates effectively. Accuracy in tasks of position. Ability to multitask in a busy office setting.

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
  • Act 34 Criminal Clearance
  • Driver's License
