UPMC Talent Acquisition has an exciting job opportunity available as an Onboarding Lead.

The Onboarding Lead will oversee day-to-day management of all onboarding programs, activities, vendors, and projects as well as supervision of the Talent Acquisition staff supporting those programs. The Onboarding Lead is responsible for administering and leading a variety of operational, recruitment, and employment related tasks in support of Talent Acquisition.   • Assist in the training of new team members throughout Talent Acquisition. 
  • Ensure process compliance in accordance with all federal, state, and local government regulations along with meeting requirements and standards of UPMC.
  • Conduct performance evaluations in a timely manner. Must maintain confidentiality at all times.
  • Lead and manage the daily work flow and onboarding activities for the Talent Acquisition Onboarding team. Develop and mentor onboarding staff.
  • Maintain an in-depth understanding of industry regulations and procedures to ensure a compliant process, including regulations from the Department of Health, The Joint Commission, The Department of Aging, The Department of Education, and The Department of Human Services.
  • Participate in design, development, and implementation of programs and initiatives. Provide first level support for department programs and initiatives.
  • Partner with the Talent Acquisition Analytics team to develop and generate onboarding reports and analyze data to assist in developing strategy.
  • Provide exceptional service as point of contact for general candidate, employee, and customer inquiries. 
  • Provide guidance and problem solving assistance to team members throughout Talent Acquisition.
  • Responsible for TA vendor management, ensuring vendor performance, working directly with account managers, and driving continuous improvement. 
  • Drive continuous process improvement assisting in the advancement of processes and technology.
  • Support all orientation programs from a Talent Acquisition perspective, including updates, communication strategy, and implementation. 
  • Audit a portion of the work completed by the Talent Acquisition Onboarding team to ensure all processes were completed accurately.


  • Bachelors in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field is required. 
  • Three years of related experience is required, including a minimum of one year of process improvement, project management, or strategy development experience.  
  • Attention to detail, with skills in customer service required. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft products, Taleo, PeopleSoft, and other HRIS systems preferred.
  • Strong project management experience and proven analytical/problem solving skills preferred. 
  • Proven record of development and implementation of programs required. 
  • Persuasive communicator both written and oral required
