Description

Purpose:
This position is responsible for electrical maintenance, installation and repair on equipment throughout the hospital.

Responsibilities:
  • Change lamps and ballasts. 
  • Perform outlet testing as per iTMS work orders and verbal communication.
  • Perform Electrical maintenance, installations, and repair on equipment throughout the hospital campus.
  • Perform in accordance with system-wide competencies/behaviors.
  • Perform tests on equipment, generators, transfer switches and electrical equipment to meet requirements per policy, regulations and/or codes.
  • Promote patient safety

Qualifications

  • High school graduate or equivalent required. 
  • Graduate of electrical trade school required. 
  • Five years experience in commercial or health care maintenance required.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and electrical wiring diagrams required. 
  • Knowledge of the national electrical code and N.F.P.A. codes required.
  • May in the course of their duties be in rooms where medications are stored. No contact with medications is allowed. 

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
  • Act 34 Criminal Clearance
  • Older Adult Protective Services Act
