Under the general direction of the RAVEN project director, is accountable for the supervision of operational leadership for the CMS Innovation Award RAVEN Project. The position is housed within the UPMC department of Community Provider Services. The Clinical Project Manager serves as a pivotal role in the implementation and oversight of all project initiatives. The manager will interact with RAVEN project stakeholders, including but not limited to Project Directors, Clinical Staff, RAVEN Partners, Facility Partners, and patients and families. This position requires excellent planning, organizational skills, along with effective project management and communication skills.

  • Assume the role of the point person for the CMS RAVEN project
  • Assure that all processes and plans are consistent with the vision, mission and description within the RAVEN project grant
  • Coordinate all aspects of administrative and secretarial tasks/functions regarding the daily operations of the project
  • Coordinate all aspects of the clinical intervention in the RAVEN project
  • Develop and maintain details project plans for initiatives within the RAVEN project
  • Direct oversight of the Lead CRNPs for the RAVEN project
  • Maintain electronic shared information database
  • Manage evaluation, compilation, and documentation of analysis and reporting needs, including communication of those needs as directed for communication of project status with internal staff and CMS staff
  • Prepare and present project status reports
  • Property disseminate incoming and outgoing correspondence to the appropriate persons
  • Provides service to the RAVEN project stakeholders to assist in the management, coordination and implementation of project initiatives
  • Support Project Directors, CPS administration and CMS staff with initiatives in the project as needed


  • Masters degree required
  • 3 years experience in project management required
  • 2 years of experience working with adult and geriatric patients required
  • Knowledge of clinical practice human resource management normally gained through a minimum of 3 years of progressively responsible management preferred
  • Analytical ability necessary to evaluate staff, address and improve clinical and programmatic issues
  • Leadership ability to develop staff, establish and maintain standards of performance within scope of practice
  • Superior interpersonal and communication skills sufficient to effectively create relationships to support the mission and vision of the RAVEN project
  • Experience with managing a grant preferred
