Description

The Marketing Strategy Manager is responsible for the development of prioritization of the strategic portfolio of an insurance product portfolio. Reporting to the Director, Market Strategy, this individual is responsible for developing and implementing strategic marketing activities for their assigned business units/products and support revenue and sales growth. The Marketing Strategy Manager must be able to multi-task, work well with internal clients, be able to interpret business unit needs into customer language, and be familiar with the four Ps of marketing (price, product, promotion, place).

Responsibilities:
  • Consults with product & consumer innovation department to drive strategy and execution around product branding, messaging, traditional and online marketing activities, and measurement.
  • Formulate, direct, and coordinate marketing activities to promote products, new technology advances, and other related services.
  • Identify, develop and evaluate market strategy that supports business unit sales objectives, addresses market trends, and enhances member experiences.
  • Monitor performance of market strategy and implementation and make appropriate recommendations to further support sales goals and strategies.
  • Provides strategic direction to supporting marketing and campaign teams in order to develop/refine marketing ideas, concepts, and tests.
  • Utilizes market intelligence to understand market segmentation and competitive analysis to develop strategies and measure results.
  • Work closely with Director, Market Strategy to set strategic goals/objectives, defines processes for market strategies, and establish measurement standards

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, public relations, business or related field. 
  • Five to seven years of marketing, marketing communications or public relations experience. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Solid understanding of the four principles of marketing (price, product, promotion, and placement).
  • Knowledge of healthcare market.
  • Results oriented: demonstrated success in overcoming obstacles and launching campaigns on time and on budget.
  • Able to build consensus among various internal and works well as team member.
  • Self starter; able to work independently with minimal direction.
  • Online/social marketing knowledge a plus.
  • Strong social media/digital media experience is preferred.

Salary Range: $22.60 to $39.11
