The Summer Research Internship Program is a paid training program for undergraduate, graduate and medical students in Health Sciences who wish to learn the rationale, design strategies, methods and other aspects of biomedical research as research assistants. Participants engage in studies under the direct supervision of investigators who are members of Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC's faculty and staff.

The summer 2018 program will run from Monday, June 4, through Friday, July 27, 2017. Student researchers will have the opportunity to present the results of their research in the form of a mandatory poster presentation the last week of the program.

SRTP candidates should have completed at least two semesters of undergraduate education as well as have at least one semester of undergraduate education remaining. 
Current graduating seniors applying to the internship program must presentation documentation that they are continuing education acceptance in an advanced degree program for the following fall to be eligible.

A cumulative GPA of at least a 3.00 is strongly preferred; if selected for an interview, an official academic transcript will be required.

- Clearances may be required based location; specific instructions will be provided prior to the program start.

Salary Range: $12.50 to $12.50
