Do you have a strong background in nursing? Looking to take the next step in your career? UPMC may have the job for you! Children's Community Pediatrics is hiring a full-time Nurse Manager, OP, to oversee the CCP Express Care facilities in South Fayette and Washington.


The Nurse Practice Manager maintains full accountability for leading and managing the human resources, clinical, financial and administrative operations of an assigned practice(s) in order to continuously improve the quality of patient care and create a healthy workplace for staff in collaboration with organizational leadership.


  • Coordinates day-to-day site activities through completing nurse-in-charge functions. Participates in the selection of staff.
  • Reviews and approves time sheets and assures that payment for hours worked is administered in accordance with CCP guidelines and contractual agreements where applicable.
  • Provides supervision to both the clinical and registration staff regarding performance of duties and participation in staff development.
  • Completes annual performance appraisals for staff as assigned. Coordinates special administrative projects as requested.
  • Participates in institutional committees/UPMC as assigned. Participates in disciplinary actions as necessary in collaboration with HR and EC Director.
  • Responsible for developing and managing the work schedule for the site.
  • Staff the site as the RN a minimum of 8 hours per week.   Is supported by a Clinical Coordinator in each site who required to work 20 hours as an RN per week.
  • Identifies learning needs of assigned staff and documents plans for meeting those needs.
  • Leads in planning and instructing specific in-service orientation activities and remedial learning interventions.
  • Participates in the collection and dissemination of information.
  • HR Duties as it pertains to staff
  • Payroll Staff, APP, Physician
  • Onboarding, Training and scheduling of Providers and Staff
  • Patient complaints
  • Front Desk/Registration
  • Lab Oversight
  • The Joint Commission Site Responsibilities
  • Maintain Employee Health records to ensure compliance


The individual must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care and/or interact appropriately to the ages of the patients served by his/her assigned unit as specified below. They must also demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patients status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patients requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs and to provide the care needs as described in the department policy and procedures. Minimum 5 years Nursing Experience required. Progressive leadership experience with relevant clinical experience preferred. BSN or Bachelors in related health care field required. MSN or Masters in a health care field preferred.

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
Current Pennsylvania licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse. CPR Certification CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire

  • Act 33 Child Clearance with Renewal
  • Act 34 Criminal Clearance with Renewal
  • Act 73 FBI Clearance
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support or Basic Life Support or Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation
  • Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation
  • Registered Nurse
