Description

Purpose:
The Research Specialist will perform imaging EEG, MEG, MRI on persons with psychiatric disorders in a research setting.  Coordinate with other clinical and research groups and manage data.

 

This position is grant funded.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with senior research personnel regarding recruitment, data collection, outcomes of interviews, reports according to the needs of the study.
  • Independently execute job functions for research protocol(s) including recruitment, scheduling appointments, obtaining written consent forms, collecting data by conducting phone or face to face interviews for research project(s).

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in psychology, neuroscience, sociology or related research field.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of work experience in a research project and/or related clinical setting is required.
  • Performing data and statistical analysis, and/or conducting testing and assessments of research subjects preferred.
  • Experience with EEG or MEG preferred.
  • Experimental research training preferred.
  • Advanced level of knowledge in research methodologies is preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills are required.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Expertise with computer programs including spreadsheets, statistical packages, word-processing and graphics.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks and assignments.
  • Careful attention to detail.
  • Ability to demonstrate professionalism and respect for subjects' rights and individual needs.
  • Minor physical activity.  Occasional computer connecting, requiring ability to move computers and peripherals and open computer cover.
  • Occasional evening and weekend testing sessions.

 

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:

  • Act 33 Child Clearance with Renewal
  • Act 34 Criminal Clearance with Renewal
  • Act 73 FBI Clearance
  • Comprehensive Crisis Management - CCM training is required within 30 days of hire and annually thereafter
