Responsible for directing, supervising and coordinating staff and operations at physician offices and clinic sites in order to provide quality, cost-effective care.


  • Communicate effectively with senior management, physicians, CRNPs, & PAs providing regular updates on operations.
  • Ensure compliance with all UPMC Health System and USO policies and procedures, including maintaining patient confidentiality.
  • Ensure compliance with requirements of appropriate regulatory agencies (i.e. OSHA, CLIA, PA Department of Health).
  • Identify and resolve work problems to ensure quality patient service.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality related to medical records and other data.
  • Manage all functions of the financial and patient management system at physician offices.
  • Lead a monthly Geriatric Team meeting.
  • Manage daily operations at nursing facilities and coordinate work activities.
  • Complete schedules, coordinate with on-call team, and manage call-offs.
  • Ensure office space, supplies, equipment, and assistance are provided and maintained appropriately for medical staff and patient care.
  • Recruit, hire, train, and supervise assigned clerical personnel in satellite facilities.
  • Responsible for performance evaluations, merit increases, promotions, and disciplinary actions of staff.
  • Work with senior management to prepare and monitor productivity and budgets to ensure operations are aligned with organizational objectives, and meet performance and budget objectives.
  • Develop reports for Director each month, analyze results, and develop action items as needed.


  • Master's Degree in health or business administration with:
    • 1 year of office management experience.
    • Including 1 year in a health care organization.
  • Bachelor's Degree in health or business administration with: 
    • 3 years of office management experience. 
    • Including 1 year in a health care organization.
  • Associate's Degree in health or business administration with:
    • 8 years of office management experience.
    • Including 1 year in a health care organization.
  • High School Diploma with:
    • 8 years of office management experience
    • Including 1 year in a health care organization.

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
  • Act 33 Child Clearance with Renewal
  • Act 34 Criminal Clearance with Renewal
  • Act 73 FBI Clearance
