Description

Purpose:
Assists with implementation, education and training of clinical automation for multidisciplinary teams to include registered nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech pathologists, medical social workers and LPNs using the McKesson Horizon Home Care. Provides on-going support of application software. POC devices, cameras and phones.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist for implementation education and training of clinical automation formultidisciplinary teams in use of the Horizon Home Care system, POC devices, cameras and phones.
  • Assist in creation of end user documentation, training manuals, and processes for completion of electronic clinical documentation.
  • Assist in development/testing of electronic clinical forms to ensure we are meeting mandated regulatory updates as they occur to include windows operating system, office and IOS upgrades.
  • Attend compliance training and adheres to organization standards of conduct, policies and procedures.
  • Identify, develop and participate in process improvement opportunities within the home health agency that will enhance the quality of the services we provide.
  • Participate on agency committees.
  • Prepare, conduct, train, and evaluate educational programs including monthly orientation of new home care employees to the Horizon Home Care System.
  • Provide ongoing troubleshooting and support and maintenance of the Horizon Home Care system, POC devices, cameras, and phones including 6:00am - 9:00pm on call coverage.

Qualifications

High School or GED (Required). Bachelors degree in Information Systems, Business, Education, clinical or financial studies, Computer Science or related field (Required). Minimum of two years experience in information systems (Required). An additional two years of experience in information systems would be considered in lieu of education. Two years Home Care Experience (Preferred). Demonstrated knowledge of home health care protocol as it relates to regulations and standards (Preferred).
