The UPMC Health Plan WorkPartners team is currently hiring a full-time Director, Clinical Integration and Strategy. The department is looking for an Executive with strong leadership experience and presence.  This should be an individual that is engaged and excited create and implement clinical strategy.  The role will require someone to have an extensive background in health care consulting or service delivery with employers since the role will be employer facing.

Under the direction of the WorkPartners Vice President, Clinical Services, this position is responsible for day to day facilitation of WorkPartners clinical product integration, and implementation of a plan to integrate WorkPartners existing clinical services with UPMC clinical services. This position will coordinate the programs and services that support UPMC Insurance Services Division, including the UPMC workforce, and also the clinical product offerings delivered to WorkPartners clients nationwide. With guidance from the VP, this position will oversee and ensure the coaching, care and risk management integration of clinical programs that interact with members and families.


  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to improve the overall performance of clinical services.
  • Day to day responsibility for the clinical integration of WorkPartners clinical programs and alignment with UPMC's clinical services
  • Evaluate and communicate overall team performance to the Clinical VP and other key stakeholders.
  • Identify measures of success for clinical best practices and participate in quality improvement activities.
  • Identify, implement and measure clinical operational efficiencies across the enterprise.
  • Monitor integrated clinical programs and other obligations to ensure contract compliance and client satisfaction.
  • Participate in the development of clinical initiatives and ensure implementation is consistent with design. Participate with finance and analytics to ensure ROIs are completed for clinical initiatives.
  • Primary local interface for integration with management teams of each clinical initiative.
  • Responsible for the achievement of integration objectives, performance and goals.
  • Support development of new models, methods, and innovations which enhance integrated member risk and care management.
  • These services enhance the health and productivity outcomes of members using them, and produce cost savings and business improvement for employers purchasing these services.
  • With guidance from the WorkPartners Clinical VP, effectively daily manage clinical activities related to external clients and the UPMC workforce.
  • Work collaboratively with product leads in the development of new care models and to achieve client goals and ROI outcomes.


  • Masters in clinical administration or business or related degree required.
  • Other masters degrees, certifications, or PhD preparation preferred.
  • Seven to ten years experience in health care consulting or service delivery with employers
  • Competent knowledge and presence in the healthcare and member services markets
  • Strong clinical utilization, care program management, team building, and leadership experience

    Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
  • Clinical Social Worker or Licensed Professional Counselor or Licensed Social Worker or Psychologist or Registered Nurse
