Are you looking for an exciting career within a growing sales team? The Hospital Account Manager will act as one of the key facilitators to assist the hospital in the discharge planning process, provide basic therapy education to patients, perform insurance verification, and promote Chartwell services within assigned accounts. The Hospital Account Manager will be located in the assigned hospital and may cover other institutions.

Responsibilities:
  • Attends educational in services, departmental staff meetings, and mandatory training and UPMC Health System meetings as required.
  • Collaborates with the multidisciplinary team and servicing home health agencies to facilitate quality, cost effective services in the home, while maintaining continuity of care and achieving positive patient outcomes.
  • Coordinates entire referral, including insurance verification, home health scheduling, discussing financial responsibilities with patient, working closely with Chartwell operational staff, etc.
  • Follows established administrative and human resources policies and procedures to ensure compliance at all times
  • Gives high priority to patient and referral source satisfaction
  • Identifies issues and concerns the patient and/or family may have and assist in issue resolution
  • Maintains patient information and records confidentiality
  • Performs basic patient education in relation to therapy.
  • Performs sales duties in and around assigned hospitals, including all relevant clinics and physician offices
  • Promotes and maintains the continuum of patient care from the hospital to home setting specific to patients in need of Home IV therapy or enteral nutrition.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent preferred.  
  • Previous relevant experience can be substituted in lieu of degree. 
  • Previous managed care/insurance experience preferred. 
  • Project management skills required. 
  • Public speaking experience preferred. Effective communication skills. 
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word and Excel. 
  • Self-starter with the ability to work with minimum supervision. 
  • Demonstrated ability to solve problems with minimal supervision 
  • Strong customer focus as demonstrated by the ability to identify, understand, and respond to Customer needs  
  • Prior nursing experience is preferred 
  • Basic computer application skills  
  • Able to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment and to function independently. 
  • Able to analyze issues objectively, provide workable solutions and implement these actions. 
  • Able to interact and communicate with multiple sources, including the institution staff, physicians, home health servicing companies, community agencies and resources, patients, their representatives and/or family.

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
  • Act 34 Criminal Clearance
