Are you proficient in PeopleSoft? The Corporate Controller department at UPMC is seeking a Financial Systems Support Analyst to support and troubleshoot issues for our users in finance and accounting, including monthly and quarterly close support. The position will coordinate regular patches and updates with IT to keep all systems and users working, in addition to the legacy features, there is a growth area around upgrading and identifying process improvements to the various modules.  The team interacts closely with the project managers on any project with a systems impact to Provide financial systems support for all UPMC users of Financial applications. The role also participates in the system maintenance, support, development, enhancements, upgrade activities, and hospital integrations.

  • Collaborate with others on the development of training programs for various applications. Participate in and/or conduct training programs as required
  • Develop and maintain an expert level of functional knowledge of the applications.
  • Participate in hospital integrations from a system and operational perspective, which may include the establishment of work plans, policies and procedures.
  • Participate in the upgrade activities of the financial systems to ensure systems are on current releases.
  • Participate, or lead when required, in the implementation of new applications by performing assigned project tasks and assisting in the planning, development, testing, and conversion activities.
  • Prepare and maintain appropriate documentation of system and operational procedures related to the business functions carried out by the financial systems.
  • Provide systems support for the UPMC users of Financial Management applications.
  • Research new system functionality. Coordinate with operational areas to align business processes with system functionality.
  • Resolve and document application support issues.
  • Translate business requirements to system functional requirements. Assist senior team members with complex system-wide projects. Build strong relationships with both internal and external customers.


  • Bachelors degree in business administration, information science, or related business field is required.
  • Minimum of three years of financial information systems experience is required. 
  • Knowledge of PeopleSoft preferred. 
  • Proficient functional understanding of a Financial applications and business processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
  • Individual must possess problem solving and decision making skills to follow issues through resolution.
  • Participate in system upgrade, integrations, and implementation activities. 
  • Work well in a team environment with minimal direct supervision and a good understanding of project management.

Salary Range: $27.43 to $46.22 / hour
