Description

Purpose:
This position for research support for the Neurobiology of Psychosis Program for the enrollment, characterization and follow up of research participants under Dr. Prasad’s projects.

This position is grant funded.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with senior research personnel regarding recruitment, data collection, outcomes of interviews, reports according to the needs of the study.
  • Independently execute job functions for research protocol(s) including recruitment, scheduling appointments, obtaining written consent forms, collecting data by conducting phone or face to face interviews for research project(s).
  • Recruit volunteer participants to research studies
  • Screen subjects for research studies using semi-structured questionnaires 
  • Administer structured clinical and neurocognitive assessment to complete all research evaluations
  • Entry of clinical and neurocognitive data into computer database
  • Development of data queries for statistical analysis
  • Organization of the clinical and cognitive data for analysis
  • Educate and train students, volunteers and new recruits
  • Other related duties as assigned in connection with research

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree required, preferably in psychology, neuroscience, sociology or related research field. 
  • Master's degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of one year of work experience in a research project and/or related clinical setting is required. 
  • Background of conducting psychiatric assessments including cognitive evaluations.
  • Ability understand and administer instruments for diagnosis of various clinical conditions 
  • Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team and co-ordinate various research evaluations
  • Familiarity with computers and common software packages required. 
  • Working knowledge of research methodology strongly preferred.

  • Act 31 Clearance
  • Act 33 Child Clearance with Renewal
  • Act 34 Criminal Clearance with Renewal
  • Act 73 FBI Clearance
  • Comprehensive Crisis Management
