Description

UPMC Health Plan is hiring a full-time Sr. Wellness Account Executive to help support the Health Promotion Department for its downtown Pittsburgh location at the US Steel Tower. This is a Monday through Friday daylight position.


The Senior Wellness Account Executive is responsible for supporting and managing all required health promotion support, coordination, and product and service delivery to large market commercial groups. Incumbent will be assigned to work in concert and collaboration with specific large market commercial Account Managers. Additionally, Senior Wellness Account Executive will manage two Health Promotion Specialists who will support the Senior Wellness Account Executive with the logistics and implementation of contracted health promotion and wellness services. This includes: assistance with client meetings, reporting, project planning, and account management. In addition, the Senior Wellness Account Executive must support the Senior Manager, Strategic Health Management Accounts and be recognized in a lead role by other departments within the Health Plan.

Responsibilities:

  • Complete annual performance appraisals and make appropriate merit increase recommendations
  • Design and develop project plans required when implementing strategic wellness initiatives and or campaigns.
  • Interpret and or analyze HRA, Biometric screening, and program specific data to identify population health management intervention opportunities and subsequent client wellness program recommendations.
  • Maintain necessary staffing resources including recommendations to hire and fire
  • Manage Health Promotion Specialists assigned to Large Market accounts including: performance appraisals, workload, scheduling and development.
  • Manage all Employee Health Management activities related to the Account Management protocol in concert with the Large Market, Account Manager.
  • Meet project plan deadlines set by project work groups (these deadlines may require extended daily work hours as required to complete.)
  • Participate in the development of Corporate and Department policies and procedures
  • Plans full scope of Health Promotion & Wellness products and services.
  • Present and or coordinate presentations to large market groups to demonstrate the Health
  • Provide reports as required by Director
  • Share competitive wellness intelligence, and general wellness market information with large market group health colleagues.
  • Take an active role in developing an active internal customer relationship with all assigned Large Market, Account Managers. Identify and make recommendations for staff and Account Management training needs

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelors and 7 years account management, wellness or health promotion experience OR MBA or Masters degree in allied health profession (or equivalent relevant experience in lieu of Masters degree) with 5 years of experience
  • Previous insurance experience and/or account management experience is highly preferred
  • Strong Leadership and Interpersonal skills
  • Management experience preferred
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills; financial analytical skills preferred
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to work with and take direction from Senior Management Desire to continue upward progression within organization
  • Reliable transportation required

Salary Range: $30.89 to $52.76
