Description

UPMC Susquehanna currently has a full-time Licensed Practice Nurse position available in the Telehealth Triage department at Divine Providence!
 
The Telehealth department focuses on assisting patients via telephone to provide efficient advice and patient care on a 24/7 basis, as well as supporting physician offices with processing prescription scripts.
 
This is an excellent opportunity for a nurse looking to utilize their clinical skills in an offer setting. 

 

The schedule will be days, Monday through Friday.


**This position does not require any commitment to work holidays.**
 
Responsibilities:.
  • Comply with all policies and procedures.
  • Computer based work- processing electronic prescription refills and referrals (secondary).
  • Requires phone interaction with patients to schedule appointments and pharmacies to coordinate patient care.
  • Critical thinking skills and knowledge of laboratory values.
  • Comply with requirements of appropriate regulatory agencies (i.e. OSHA, CLIA, PA Department of Health).
  • Maintain strict confidentiality related to medical records and other data.

 

Qualifications

Graduate of an approved LPN school of nursing.

Ability to utilize Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel.

  • One year clinical experience, preferably in an office setting.
  • Experience handling electronic records preferred.
  • Previous prescription refill experience preferred, but not required.

    Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
    CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire

    • Act 33 Child Clearance with Renewal
    • Act 34 Criminal Clearance with Renewal
    • Act 73 FBI Clearance
    • Basic Life Support
    • Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation
    • Licensed Practical Nurse
