Description

This position will support multiple pharmacies.  Chartwell is a Specialty and Infusion pharmacy which has both medical and pharmacy billings, RX Partners is a long-term care pharmacy that supports Senior Living facilities, Hospice as well as other outside clients, the Retail Pharmacies owned by the hospitals are open to the public in some locations and only to UPMC patients in other locations.  Some of the Retail Pharmacies are 340B pharmacies and others are contract pharmacies.  There will be analysis needed regarding profitability by payer and by drug.  There will be inventory reconciliations for both 340B inventories and non-340B inventories.


Responsibilities:
  • Analyze financial data and extract and define relevant information; interpret data for the purpose of determining past financial performance and/or to project a financial probability.
  • Collect and study data to determine costs of business activities. Recommend budget adjustments, and other cost improvement measures.
  • Develop financial reports for forecasting, trending, and results analysis.
  • Interpret financial transactions and events for users who must make economic or business decisions.
  • Perform moderately complex statistical, cost, and financial analysis of data reported in the various financial systems.
  • Record, classify, and summarize financial transactions and events in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Review costs and perform cost benefit analysis related to projects and/or programs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in finance or related business field is required.
  • Minimum of one year of related work experience is required.
  • CPA/MBA preferred. 
  • Microsoft office with emphasis on spreadsheet application required and PeopleSoft General Ledger proficiency preferred.
