Description

Purpose:
The Mon Yough team is looking for a Quality Assurance/Compliance/Risk Specialist.  This role is responsible for the development, implementation and monitoring of agency compliance safety and risk programs.  It is Monday through Friday during daylight hours at the Mon Yough location.

Responsibilities:
  • Adhere to the on-call protocol in order to be informed of any safety occurrences. 
  • Adhere to the organization's Compliance Safety and Risk plan, fulfill safety and risk objectives. Adhere to national safety goals by planning, directing and monitoring implantation aspects related to those goals. Adhere to regulatory requirements set forth by federal and state agencies relative to safety and risk. 
  • Assists in the identification of serious events through the review and investigation of incident reports. 
  • Communicates significant events, potential and actual claims, through established mechanisms in a timely manner. 
  • Conducts investigations as a result of complaints registered with MYCS or a payer and follow through to resolution.
  • Develop and present formal and informal safety and risk education to staff throughout the organization on an ongoing basis. 
  • Investigate actual and potential safety and risk issues in the total operations of the agency through rounds, chart reviews, interviews, physical inspection and other means as necessary. 
  • Maintain investigation claims and file with strict adherence to confidentiality mandates. Assist, as needed with Legal Counsel during litigation process. 
  • Participate in the agency wide performance improvement efforts through data gathering and analysis. Works cooperatively with other members of the development to meet common goals. 
  • Review actual and potential safety and risk occurrences with agency department heads and managers, identifying trends, making recommendations for action, and assuring compliance with the programs. 
  • Serve as a role model to foster a compliance culture in the organization. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or related healthcare area required. 
  • Three years of Clinical experience OR experience in risk, liability or loss control at the organizational level is required. 
  • Compliance/Regulatory experience preferred.
  • Ability to work with a variety of Microsoft office software systems. 
  • Analytical ability to prepare, review and present statistical data. 
  • Interpersonal skills to work with management and physicians, and all levels of staff.

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
  • Act 34 Criminal Clearance
  • Driver's License

Salary Range: $20.60 to $35.43
