Description

Purpose:
Interprets design concepts and detailed working drawings, and coordinates work with others.

Responsibilities:
  • Act as lead manager on all Tenant projects.
  • Contacts various state/federal regulatory agencies regarding building codes, regulations, legislation, etc., and related compliance.
  • Assist Director and Facilities Manager in Management of Construction phase of projects.
  • Contact Materials Management employees in the ordering of supplies/equipment.
  • External contact with vendors, construction companies, and design firms in the acquisition of materials and information and coordination of joint work efforts for completion of construction projects.
  • Internal contact with Administration, Department Directors and maintenance personnel in the planning estimation and completion of various projects.
  • Maintain access to PDF files of Floor Plans, Site Plans, and Square Foot Areas of Departments on the shared drive.
  • Maintain appropriate record documentation.
  • Organize Record Drawings, Shop Drawings and Project files of completed projects.
  • Prepare contract documents of Hospital construction projects - includes drawings, specifications, bid forms and schedules.

Qualifications

  • Associates Degree in Computer-Aided Drafting OR related area required. 
  • Two to four years of board and computer-aided drafting experience required.
  • Complete understanding and ability to use AutoCad computer system software required. 
  • Strong computer skills which including working knowledge of CAD, word processing, Database applications required. 
  • Previous healthcare experience strongly preferred.
