Description

The Linen/Laundry Attendant, under general supervision of the C.S.S.D. Supervisor, distributes clean linens to user areas throughout the hospital. They maintain records of the amount of linen sent and returned by each user area as well as process soiled linen as required. Additionally, they unload vendor linen trucks when they arrive daily.

 

This is a Regular Part-Time position with hours from 2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.

Availability to work every other weekend/holiday is required.

 

This position is based out of Seneca Place. Seneca Place and Seneca Manor reside in a charming and scenic campus setting where UPMC’s established reputation for medical excellence is demonstrated. This senior community provides an array of services including assisted living and skilled nursing and rehabilitation at two accessible facilities, Seneca Manor and Seneca Place, both supported by dedicated staff. Located in the heart of Penn Hills, these facilities provide easy access to the bustling and vibrant city of Pittsburgh.


Responsibilities:

  • Attend department meetings, maintains awareness of Hospital and Department policies/procedures.
  • Complete all assigned supplemental requests effectively and efficiently.
  • Comply with departmental policies regarding security of hospital property, locked areas, time cards and dress code.
  • Conform to attendance policies as established by UPMC systemwide policies and department policies
  • Ensure that she/he conducts herself/himself in a professional manner at all times.
  • Prepare and distributes a variety of clean linen to user areas on a daily basis and records all linen sent to a user area with 100% accuracy.
  • Process soiled linen according to procedures.
  • Restock scrub vending machines.
  • Unload linen delivery trucks.
  • Wear hospital identification at all times.

Qualifications

  • HS Diploma/GED OR 1 YR previous job experience required in lieu of HS Diploma/GED

    Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
  • Act 34 Criminal Clearance
  • Older Adult Protective Services Act
