UPMC Home Health is actively seeking a full-time nurse Director of Clinical Operations to support the operations of our division in Southern Allegheny County. UPMC Home Health provides a wide range of home health care services for patients of all ages. Our home health experts treat every patient with the compassion, quality, and dedication for which UPMC is known.

Our nurses and therapists live and work in their home communities, providing individualized, timely care to patients and their families - in their homes - while they recover from injury, illness, or surgery.

As Director, you will provide overall management of clinical operations and delivery of quality patient care services in the most cost-effective manner and to ensure compliance with all regulatory agencies based on agency policy, procedures and direction.

This position is based primarily in West Mifflin, PA, but some travel to the northern office may be required for meetings as needed. This position reports directly to the Clinical Director for UPMC Home Health.

Responsibilities:
  • Attend compliance training and adheres to the organization standards of conduct, policies and procedures.
  • Ensure adequate staffing levels to meet budgeted productivity and monitor staff productivity.
  • Focus on customer service and continually strive to perform the duties of job in a manner that results in optimal patient satisfaction.
  • Identify, develop and participate in process improvement opportunities within the home health agency that will enhance the quality of services we provide.
  • Manage department operations within budget.
  • Overall responsibility for the clinical operations of multidisciplinary teams for home health, hospice, and private duty where appropriate to facilitate patient care integration and coordination according to Conditions of Participation, TJC standards and the policies and procedures of the home health agency.
  • Oversee administrative on call coverage for the agency.
  • Perform duties and job responsibilities in a fashion which coincides with the service management philosophy of the organization towards patients, visitors, staff, peers, physicians and other departments within the organization.
  • Provide overall integration and direction to Sr. Managers, Clinical Supervisors and Team Leaders.

Qualifications

  • Completion of an accredited school of professional nursing
  • Bachelors degree in a related field required.
  • Masters degree in related field preferred. 
  • 5 years healthcare experience required.
  • 3 years home health experience preferred. 
  • 3 years management experience required.
  • Proven ability to facilitate change.

  • Act 33 Child Clearance
  • Act 34 Criminal Clearance
  • Automotive Insurance
  • Driver's License
  • Older Adult Protective Services Act
  • Registered Nurse
