This is a multi-faceted position in the EASY (Emergent Assessment of Suicidal Youth) research team. The combined goals of these studies are to develop effective assessments of adolescents and young adults using novel methods, including machine learning and computer adaptive testing. 


We are seeking a Sr. Research Associate who will be a masters-level clinician.  The incumbent will complete clinical assessments, either in person or via phone with adolescents ages 12-17.  Additionally, the Sr. Research Associate will monitor the work flow of research protocol, working effectively in data management to ensure the timetable of project interviews is followed. The shifts for this role will vary and can include some evenings and weekends. Opportunities for LPC licensure supervision is available.  


Responsibilities:

  • Conduct in-person and telephone semi-structured diagnostic interviews and write descriptive clinical summaries.
  • Assess suicidal risk and contact physician investigators when further assessment and intervention are needed
  • Monitor computer testing and assessment and ensure the safety and comfort of human volunteers during participation in this research.
  • Communicate effectively with research, clinical and administrative staff to maintain efficient and appropriate interactions.
  • Attend and participate in all project-related meetings, including regular staff meetings, diagnostic conferences, and research team meetings.
  • Mentor, train, and assist with supervising junior research staff.

Qualifications

  • Masters degree required preferably in psychology, counseling, social work, or related research field. 
  • Minimum of one year of work experience in a research project and/or related clinical setting is required.
  • Experience with SCID or KSADS assessments preferred
  • Familiarity with computers and common software packages required.
  • Working knowledge of research methodology strongly preferred.

  • Act 31 Clearance
  • Act 33 Child Clearance with Renewal
  • Act 34 Criminal Clearance with Renewal
  • Act 73 FBI Clearance
  • Comprehensive Crisis Management
