Develop, interpret and apply organizational and departmental policies and procedures, budgets, goals and objectives consistent with the strategic plan.

  • Assist the Director with management of departmental operations.
  • Schedules the Cardiology rotation for Non-Invasive reading and interacts with 35+ panel members to assure prompt and efficient study interpretation and reporting
  • Works with the Non-Invasive Medical Director to assure an adequate QA-QI process for the Non-Invasive Physician panel as well as departmental procedures.
  • Responsible for initiating and maintaining status of the Intersocietal Commission for the Accreditation of the Echocardiology and Nuclear Cardiology Labs (ICAEL & ICANL) Entirely Responsible for the ICA required Quarterly Quality Assurance meetings for staff and Panel members. 
  • Duties include the data collection, formatting, and distribution of approximately 8-10 subjects of QA, including case studies, creating power point presentations, agendas and meeting minutes.
  • Attend and represent department at hospital committee meetings as assigned by the Director.
  • Develop and apply all operational policies and procedures for all the sections of radiology.
  • Develop and maintain the departmental annual budget including the monitoring of monthly expenditures and variance reports.
  • Develop goals, action plans and contingency plans; organize and communicate Nuclear Regulatory Commission and Department of Environmental Protection information and requirements.
  • Identify and respond to complaints, problems, and issues, conduct investigation, take corrective action and prepare related documentation.
  • Interview, select, orient, evaluate, schedule, counsel and discipline assigned personnel.
  • Monitor the efficacy of the schedules distributed/posted by, the Lead Technologists.
  • Participate in the development and completion of departmental goals and objectives. 
  • Contribute to a positive work climate and the overall team effort of the department.


  • High School diploma required. 
  • Bachelor's degree preferred. 
  • 7 years of technical experience in the cardiology field with progressively increasing responsibilities.
  • 3 years of prior supervisory experience in a hospital or clinical setting required.
  • Excellent communications skills. 
  • This individual should also be skilled in computer functions.       
  • Strong computer skills including Excel, Word and Access
  • Registry in radiology, nuclear medicine, ultrasound, or MRI (ARRT, RDMS, NMTCB) preferred.
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
  • CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire
  • Act 34 Criminal Clearance with Renewal
  •  Basic Life Support or Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation
