The Quality Assurance (QA) Specialist, under the direction of the Manager, Quality Assurance is responsible for assuring that daily Supply Chain related inquiries & requests from both internal and external customers are addressed in a timely, accurate, and comprehensive manner. Individual will focus on the remediation of fragmented operational procure to pay processes by determining root cause and implementing corrective actions. In addition, the QA Specialist will support and assist with development and implementation of procurement initiatives that improve service levels and reduce transactional costs. The Quality Assurance Specialist must collaborate effectively while managing multiple projects, tight deadlines, and high pressure situations.

Responsibilities:
  • Comprehend and communicate Supply Chain related policies and procedures to staff and internal/external customers.
  • Cooperate and communicate in an effective, professional manner with supervisor, management, peers, general staff, physicians, other personnel.
  • Critical end user and vendor inquiries regarding procurement processes. Must be able to handle a high degree of service inquiries and ensure that the conversation yields all the information necessary to resolve the request. Track and record response information using the tools provided.
  • Ensures delivery against department goals and objectives, i.e. Meeting commitments and coordinating overall quality assurance schedule.
  • Expediting of purchase orders and end user item fulfillment requests.
  • Handle multiple tasks with minimum supervision.
  • Proactively identify active and potential supply chain issues, minimize the risk of supply chain disruptions, and investigate emerging opportunities within the supply chain to make improvements.
  • React logically and appropriately to situations that promote unproductive interruptions to staff which affect performance.
  • Resolution of PO/Invoice Match Exception items.
  • Respect and maintain the confidentiality of all patient, physician, and hospital related information.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree and two years pevious supply chain experience is required,
    • OR a High School and four years previous supply chain experience will be considered for exceptional performers.
  • Need to demonstrate strong organization and communication skills, ability to provide exceptional customer support, ability to execute complex analytics in support of problem resolution, and be a self-starter and work well as a member of a team.
  • Working knowledge of PeopleSoft or similar ERP is preferred.  
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office is preferred.
