UPMC Renaissance Family Practice group is currently hiring a Regular Full Time Licensed Practical Nurse, OP (LPN) to help support their office/practice located in Millvale/Pittsburgh PA. 

This position will work a regular full time variable daylight schedule Monday through Friday.

The incumbent will provide professional nursing care to office patients under supervision of patient care providers.

  • Managing of the Vaccines for Children (VFC) program 
  • Accountable for office quality controls, clinical logs (Temperature control/documentation, BBP/safety manuals)
  • Lab manual, Autoclave and centrifuge maintenance 
  • Policies and procedures manuals
  • Medication assisted treatment (MAT) lead clinical staff for program
  • Champion for practice regulatory compliance (CLIA, OSHA, VFC, DOH)
  • Serves as lead for team regarding day-to-day workflow issues, office procedures, and clinic coverage 
  • Assists care team with population management goals/gap closures, telephonic outreach, referrals to patients provide health education to patients. 
  • Onboarding and annual competencies for MA team
  • Ordering clinical supplies, vaccines
  • Assess patient's general condition and take vital signs and weight.
  • Assist physicians with examinations, diagnostic procedures and treatments.
  • Comply with all policies and procedures.
  • Comply with requirements of appropriate regulatory agencies (i.e. OSHA, CLIA, PA Department of Health).
  • Document all activities/interventions, patient/family responses, medication dispensed/prescribed, etc., in the medical record.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality related to medical records and other data.
  • Promote wellness by providing patient education materials, communicating physician advice/instructions.


  • Graduate of an approved LPN school of nursing. 
  • One year clinical experience preferred
  • Outpatient experience preferred
  • EMR/Triage experience preferred

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire

  • Act 33 Child Clearance with Renewal
  • Act 34 Criminal Clearance with Renewal
  • Act 73 FBI Clearance
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support or Basic Life Support or Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation
  • Licensed Practical Nurse
