Perform routine EKG, holter monitor applications and stress testing, as appropriate, on patients for pre-surgical testing, routine testing and scheduled testing. Perform test duties relative to patients seen in the Routine and Major Diagnostic Center.


  • Assume responsibility for keeping equipment clean and in good working order.
  • Assume responsibility for keeping equipment clean.
  • Assume responsibility for keeping machine clean and in good working condition.
  • Explain to the patient how the procedure is going to be done.
  • Maintain appropriate level of forms, materials and supplies and anticipate the need for same to avoid low supply situations.
  • Manage Holter monitors.
  • Operate equipment; assist MD or RN as needed.
  • Perform holter monitor applications. Provide observation and reporting to appropriate individuals.
  • Prep patient for test.


  • High school diploma or equivalent required. 
  • One (1) year of experience in a patient care environment. 
  • EKG preferred
  • Additionally, 6 weeks/3 areas of on-the-job training may be required.

    Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
    CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire

  • Act 34 Criminal Clearance
  • Basic Life Support
  • Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation
