Description

UPMC Senior Communities is hiring a Temporary (full-time hours) Environmental Services Aide to support the Cranberry Place facility in Cranberry, PA. Availability to work every other weekend is required.

 

The Environmental Services Aide cleans all aspects of assigned areas, including patient rooms, public areas, offices and equipment, to meet Department standards in order to promote the quality of care rendered in the environment. The will also move equipment, furniture, boxes, etc. and remove and hang blinds and curtains.

Cranberry Place is a skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility centrally located in the heart of Cranberry Township. Responsibilities:

  • Clean up blood spills, IV leaks, and various other bodily fluids and waste in a professional manner
  • Comply with all departmental policy and procedure, including safety, personal conduct, and dress code
  • Handle the facilities' waste management and materials stocking
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Prepare discharged rooms for subsequent patients in an efficient manner
  • Respond to dispatchers via pager and/or phone
  • Thoroughly clean assigned patient rooms, common areas, and bathrooms

 

Qualifications

  • Six months uninterrupted employment in housekeeping, labor, or customer service is preferred
  • Hospital/healthcare experience preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Ability to remain on feet for at least eight-hour periods, while lifting and transporting materials throughout the facility
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in an ever-changing environment

    Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
  • Act 34 Criminal Clearance or Act 34 Criminal Clearance with Renewal
