Supervise, guides and monitors activities of the Data Entry staff to affect accurate and timely completion of all agency documentation in accordance with regulatory guidelines. Responsible to insure agency ability to bill for services according to policies set forth by fiscal intermediaries and commercial payors, and within the standards of regulatory agencies.

  • Responsible for ensuring accurate and timely compliance with regulatory and fiscal standards which directly impact the organizations cash flow and on-going regulatory accreditation as it relates to Medicare Conditions of Participation documentation, and submission and Fiscal Intermediary reimbursement requirements.
  • Focuses on customer service and continually strives to perform the duties of their job in a manner that will result in optimal patient satisfaction.
  • Provides oversight to sub-contractor billing and timely submission of claims and the clinical documentation, including but not limited to Medmark and Chartwell. 
  • Provides oversight of reconciliation of subcontractor bills presented to our agency for payment, including but not limited to Centers for Rehab Services, TMS, Penn Ohio, and Penn Rehab.
  • Identifies, develops and participates in process improvement opportunities within the home health agency that will enhance the quality of the services we provide.
  • Provides Point of Care technical support to professional clinical staff. Assists agency staff in resolving application and/or process issues on a daily basis.
  • Responsible for direct Supervision of data entry personnel, which includes department scheduling, timely and accurate data entry of entire agency medical record and billing documentation which includes the processing and reconciliation of all referrals and organization's payroll. 
  • Responsible for on-going performance appraisals of qualified staff. 
  • Prepares, conducts, and evaluates educational programs including orientation of new employees to the data entry department.
  • Independently works with compliance, clinical operations and billing to ensure timely and accurate submission of RAPS, Final Claims, and weekly/monthly claims which facilitates proper agency reimbursement. 
  • Responsibility of the oversight of charge entry, computer posting of visits, and error reconciliation resolution to facilitates proper agency reimbursement. 
  • Primary contact to clinical and billing operations. Facilitates completion of all billing and fiscal activities on a daily basis.
  • Attend compliance training and adhere to the organization standards of conduct, policies and procedures.


  • Associates Degree (Preferred)
  • Minimum five (5) years experience in the health care industry (Required)
  • Minimum three (3) year supervisory experience (Required)
  • Minimum two (2) years data entry experience (Preferred)
  • Demonstrated knowledge of home health care protocol as it relates to regulations and standards (Preferred)
  • Proven ability to facilitate change.
