Are you looking for a change and have leadership experience in Pharmacy? UPMC Presbyterian is looking for a highly motivated Supervisor to join their inpatient pharmacy team! In this role, you will oversee the night pharmacy staff consisting of Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians. If you enjoy being a leader and helping to develop staff, apply today!

This is a full-time night position that will work Monday - Sunday between 8:00pm and 7:00am (7 on, 7 off). This role also has holiday responsibilities. We offer a competitive wage, a generous total rewards package, and the ability to grow in your pharmacy career!

Purpose:

Supervise the daily activities of staff pharmacists and pharmacy assistants in a variety of areas including order entry, IV admixture preparation, purchasing and inventory control, and automated drug dispensing and storage systems. Assist the Manager/Assistant Director to ensure compliance with Federal and State regulations and JCAHO accreditation standards.

Responsibilities:
  • Participate in the annual review and revision of the Policy and Procedures manual.
  • Complete performance evaluations of appropriate staff members. Initiates disciplinary action and makes recommendations for corrective action and improvement of performance.
  • Implement projects as assigned by the Manager/Assistant Director.
  • Oversee and maintain expertise in assigned areas of specific responsibility such as human resource policies and procedures, drug procurement, IV admixture preparation, and drug dispensing systems.
  • Ensure achievement of productivity standards, and adherence to regulations and standards of performance and accreditation.
  • Verify Labor and Delivery patient orders for UPMC Horizon.

Qualifications

  • B.S./PharmD degree from an accredited School of Pharmacy.
  • 3 years of operational experience in a pharmacy.
  • Ability to obtain and interpret information in terms of the specific areas of responsibility.
  • Understands departmental and hospital policies and procedures.

  • Pharmacist
  • Act 34

Salary Range: $46.26 to $78.57 / hour
