Job Description/Summary/Objectives:

University of Pittsburgh Physicians seeks a Pediatric Ophthalmologist to specialize in conditions, injuries, and diseases affecting the eye and its related structures in children; perform examinations and tests to determine the nature of the patient’s vision problem and perform surgery if required. Management of Cortical Visual Impairment, eye movement disorders Especially nystagmus, familiarity with eye movement testing data, and a broad background in pediatric neuropathy.


Job Responsibilities:
-Specialize in conditions, injuries, and diseases affecting the eye and its related structures in children;
-Perform examinations and tests to determine the nature of the patient’s vision problem and perform surgery if required.
-Management of Cortical Visual Impairment, eye movement disorders especially nystagmus, familiarity with eye movement testing data, and a broad background in pediatric neuropathy

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications and Licensure/Certification:
-Must have a M.D. or equivalent;
-Completion of a minimum of three years of postgraduate training in Ophthalmology
-Completion of one year of fellowship training in Pediatric Ophthalmology
-Must have valid PA medical license or eligibility for licensure.
