Job Description/Summary/Objectives:

UPMC Presbyterian Shadyside seeks a Software Engineer in Allegheny County, PA to participate in all aspects of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) for eBenefits Technology Department of hospital system, including design, engineer/build, develop, test and integrate Human Resources-based health benefits administration and management software applications, such as an Affordable Care Act fulfillment system and health benefit and decision guide system. Use mathematical models to analyze user needs and formulate solutions. Employ eBenefits architecture standards and programming protocols to implement ongoing system enhancements and integration of employer’s HR eBenefits platform.

Job Responsibilities:

- Participate in all aspects of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) for eBenefits Technology Department of hospital system, including design, engineer/build, develop, test

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications and Licensure/Certification:

-Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Information Systems or a related field
-Two years of experience as a Software Engineer or any related occupation
-Two years of employment experience must include: developing health benefits administration and management applications; developing an Affordable Care Act fulfillment system; and developing a health benefit and decision guide system.
